Why are the tips of my nails clear instead of white?

I have brittle, thin nails as it is, and I'm wondering is it normal for the tips of my nails to be clear instead of white? I have discontinued use of nail polishes and removers because of the obvious chemicals. Let me know if you have any idea what's up!Why are the tips of my nails clear instead of white?

ur kind of lucky! i love the transparent part to be big and have a BIT of white in the end.. me, i have a lot of white and the transparent part is so small WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!?!
